Sir Nigel Boardman

Sir Nigel Boardman is a legal professional and corporate leader with a career spanning over 40 years.

He served as partner at the law firm, Slaughter and May, from 1982 to 2019, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and governance. His expertise and contributions were recognised with a knighthood in 2022.

Beyond his legal practice, Nigel has held numerous significant roles across many sectors. He is the Chair of Arbuthnot Latham, a regulated bank, and serves as independent non-executive director of its holding company. In 2022, he also join the Board of Aston Martin Lagonda as Senior Independent Director.

Nigel is deeply committed to charitable organisations, chairing Help for Heroes, The Medical College of St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Trust, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, he is Trustee and member of the Audit Committee for the British Museum.

Throughout his career, Nigel has received several awards, including The Financial Times’ Special Achievement Award and the Lawyer of the Decade Award from Financial News.
